The banking and finance team’s deep commercial lending expertise includes secured and unsecured lending, asset-based and real estate lending, debtor-in-possession financing, project and acquisition financing, leveraged buy-outs, lease agreements and letters of credit. The firm also represents lenders in connection with distressed loans and bankruptcies as an integral part of our commercial practice. Integration of the firm’s transaction and bankruptcy practices brings a constructive business approach to the workout practice and enhances the firm’s ability to effectively structure loans at their inception.

Our attorneys are experienced in all aspects of the lending process, including the initial structuring of loan transactions, collateral protection and perfection in locations throughout the U.S., multi-borrower transactions, complex inter-creditor situations, and multi-bank syndicated credits. We also represent clients in connection with distressed loans. The firm’s creditor, debtor and bankruptcy attorneys are available to advise clients in the event of bankruptcies, loan defaults, collections and foreclosure.

The banking and finance team also has a depth of experience in bank regulatory issues as well as the purchase and sales of banks and other financial institutions.
