U.S. News Names Larkin Hoffman "Best Law Firm" for 2021
Larkin Hoffman has been named a ‘Best Law Firm’ by U.S. News for 2021. The firm’s franchise and land use practices again received national recognition and were ranked in the first tier regionally. Eight of the firm’s other practices were ranked in regional categories. Minnesota Small Business Relief Grants Available
On June 23, 2020, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development started accepting applications for grants to Minnesota owned and operating businesses that can demonstrate financial hardship due to the pandemic. The Minnesota legislature has allocated over $60 million in grant funds. The application process goes through July 2, 2020, and recipients will be selected randomly through a lottery.

The Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020 was enacted on June 4th as a means of providing relief to PPP borrowers as to requirements that were considered to be onerous. The podcast will review the provisions of the Act and identify potential opportunities and pitfalls created by the Act. Just as PPP borrowers’ management of their employees and payrolls were heavily influenced by the loan forgiveness provisions of the CARES Act, this new Act may cause borrowers to revisit these issues and projections of loan forgiveness and repayment.
