MNACCA Presentation on Employer Use of Background Checks
On November 18, 2014, firm attorneys Dan Ballintine and Chris Harristhal will present and lead a panel discussion before the Minnesota Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel of America (“MNACCA”) regarding employer use of background checks. The panel will include in-house attorneys Tracy Johnson, Senior Employment Lawyer, Cargill; Kristin LeBre, Associate General Counsel, Value Vision Media, Inc./ShopHQ; and Jeff Brockmann, Senior Corporate Counsel, US Bank. The presentation will provide a general overview of the legal minefield which employers must navigate while utilizing background checks in connection with employment decisions.
