Tim Rye Quoted in Star Tribune Article on Property Tax Evaluation

Tim Rye was recently quoted in a Star Tribune article regarding the evaluation and taxation of thousands of acres of Minnesota forest land owned by UPM Blandin Paper. A judge found that the value of the property, which is restricted by a conservation easement, is substantially less than the assessments from the counties in which the land is located. Tim commented on the reduction of the property tax base for those counties and the judge’s interpretation of the law.

Tim assists clients with complex real estate litigation and valuation issues. He challenges property tax assessments and litigating valuation issues arising out of condemnation. Since 2011, Tim has helped clients save more than $2,000,000 in property taxes.
