Helped National Developer Gain Approval for Mixed-Use Project


Our client is a national developer of mixed-use projects, typically anchored by grocery stores. After approximately one year of trying to secure final approval of its mixed-use project, which includes a grocery store and approximately 170 units of rental housing in a Twin Cities suburb, this client turned to Larkin Hoffman for assistance. We coordinated their approach to the city from that point forward. We helped the client refine its project request, arranged meetings with key decision-makers – including elected officials to convey their specific request – and assisted with negotiating the terms of development and TIF assistance agreements. The response was overwhelming support for the project by the city council.
