Inga Kingland on Table of Experts Panel Discussing Women in the Construction Industry
Larkin Hoffman’s attorney, Inga Kingland, was recently invited to be a part of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s panel discussion about women in the construction industry. Inga was joined by women from a number of firms in the construction industry as they discussed important issues facing women in this traditionally male-dominated industry. The discussion centered around what attracted the female panelists to the industry; what strategies firms are using to recruit, retain and promote more women; and how the industry as a whole can better advocate for women.
The panelists included Inga Kingland, attorney, Larkin Hoffman; Erica Larson, vice president and principal, Pope Architects; Stacy Arnold, safety manager, RJM Construction; Tara Blotske, senior project manager, Ryan Cos. US Inc.; and Amy Santerre, project manager, Shaw-Lundquist Construction. Barb Lau, executive director of the Association of Women Contractors, served as moderator.
