Larkin Hoffman Congratulates Minnesota Aurora and Team Attorney Matthew Bergeron on Their Inaugural Season
Larkin Hoffman is excited to congratulate Minnesota Aurora and Matthew Bergeron, who serves as the team's General Counsel, as they kick off their inaugural season. Minnesota Aurora is a women-led, community-owned pre-professional women’s soccer team that was founded last year by a group of nine community members including Matthew Bergeron. The group subsequently raised $1 million through a community ownership campaign and have sold out TCO Stadium for this evening’s home opener. The club is competing in the inaugural season of the W-League, a new women’s pre-professional nationwide league organized by the United Soccer League.
As the official law firm of the Minnesota Aurora, Larkin Hoffman provides a wide variety of legal services to the team. During their formation over the past year, we have advised on a variety of issues including trademark and intellectual property, real estate, employment, and commercial contracting.
Matthew Bergeron practices in the firm’s health care and government relations groups. Matthew brings a unique blend of experience to our practices and helps clients develop, draft, and promote their legislative agendas while nurturing strong professional relationships with public policymakers at all levels of government. Matthew also helps clients navigate complex regulatory processes and requirements at the state and federal levels.
In addition to health law and legislative advocacy, Matthew practices in the firm’s real estate and land use areas where he helps developers understand land use rights, identifies required approvals projects and works with local planning commissions and city councils to secure the approvals.
We wish the Minnesota Aurora team a successful first season!
