Larkin Hoffman Helps MOA Secure Approval of Key Funding Authority

Larkin Hoffman's legislative team recently assisted Mall of America in securing authority from the Minnesota Legislature for new tax revenues to support development of Phase II. Bill Griffith and Peter Coyle led a team of lawyers, lobbyists and financial analysts in a two-year effort to secure public funding of needed infrastructure for the project, which will more than double the size of Mall of America. Jerry Seck, Marnie Moore and Karin Holt also played significant roles in obtaining approval of the measure from key committees and leadership. Central to the effort was coordination of grass roots support for the project from contractors, the building trades and hospitality interests. Mall of America is an internationally recognized retail and entertainment attraction which includes an indoor theme park, aquarium, miniature golf and hundreds of the nation's premiere retailers. When completed in all phases, the project will be the largest of its kind in North America.
