Larkin Hoffman Helps Client Gain City Approval for 450,000 Square Foot Mixed-Use Project

Our client, a regional developer of commercial, retail and hospitality projects, was stymied over a period of years in its efforts to advance a major redevelopment of an industrial site located in the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities. The client planned to pursue a 450,000 square foot mixed-use project on a site currently occupied by a closed industrial building, but was facing city opposition to its development plans. Larkin Hoffman was engaged to consult on the project and offered advice on how to position it so that it met the city’s development objectives both generally and for the particular site. We ultimately assisted the client in securing critical land use and zoning development rights by unanimous vote of the city council.
