HR Coordinator (Recruiter)

Larkin Hoffman, one of the largest full-service business law firms in Bloomington Minnesota, is seeking a highly motivated Human Resources (HR) Coordinator with a focus in Recruiting. This position is part-time (20 hours a week) and will manage recruiting efforts at the firm, including but not limited to ad placement, applicant tracking, screening candidates, conducting staff interviews, working with hiring managers for candidate selection, reference checks, and the offer. Other duties include assisting with performance review processes, coordinating and conducting new employee orientation, coordination of firm events, and provide back-up for other HR functions.

Qualified individuals will have a bachelor’s degree in business or human resources and 4+ years of recruiting/human resources experience, preferably in a professional services setting or the equivalent combination of education and related experience. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and highly organized, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and keep varied tasks and projects moving simultaneously, and have superior interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Tax Attorney

Candidates should have ‎a background and demonstrated experience in complex corporate and partnership tax-related and business transactions, tax planning, compliance, and tax driven structural considerations. They should also have knowledge in Federal, state, local and foreign tax related issues, financial transactions tax matters related to structuring mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations, and the taxation of real estate transactions. We are looking for an attorney with outstanding academic credentials, drafting skills, communications skills, a dedication to client service and a commitment to excellence in the practice of law. A book of business is required.

Summer Associates 

Larkin Hoffman is no longer accepting applications for the 2021 summer associate positions. 

Working as a summer associate is a unique opportunity to experience the day-to-day projects, challenges and excitement of a practicing attorney. Each summer, Larkin Hoffman hires a staff of law students who have completed their second year of law school. In the past, many have stayed on through the school year and some have continued as associates.

Our summer associates program is formatted to give students a glimpse into different areas of the law in which our firm specializes. Summer associates have the opportunity to accompany attorneys in both the courtroom and the boardroom. Summer associates also work together on a presentation to be given to all attorneys on a current legal issue.

Our summer associates are given the opportunity to work with a variety of attorneys in all of our different departments. Each summer associates is assigned a mentor and is encouraged to approach their mentors with questions, concerns, and ideas throughout the summer. Work is assigned through a manager who monitors workloads and ensures that each student is given a broad range of opportunities. We understand the importance of feedback, and our attorneys take the time to evaluate the work done by summer associates in order to help them develop their skills.
