Legal Administrative Assistant (Real Estate Litigation)

Larkin Hoffman is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours) Legal Administrative Assistant with 2+ years of Real Estate Litigation experience. This person will provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in our Real Estate Litigation Department and work Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Duties include maintaining and organizing client files, transcribing dictation, composing letters, and proofreading written material to ensure high quality product. This position will also provide administrative support such as answering phones, arranging meetings and appointments, and preparing invoices and expense reports.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Must be highly organized and have superior client service, communication, and proofreading skills.

Benefits Manager

The benefits manager is responsible for creating, maintaining, and effectively administering a competitive firm benefits package. This includes managing the firm’s Group Medical, Short and Long Term Disability, Life, and 401(k) and Profit-Sharing Plans and the benefits consultants and other vendors the firm utilizes to offer these plans. This manager will monitor developments in employee benefits, evaluate and compare existing employee benefits with those of other employers, and make recommendations for the firm to maintain strong benefits programs. Administration of benefits includes enrolling and orienting new employees in benefit plans, terminating enrollment upon the departure of an employee, and planning and coordinating the annual open enrollment process. Additional responsibilities include planning and coordinating education sessions on benefits, flu shot clinics, CPR/AED training, and other firm meeting and educational opportunities. Applicants for this role should have a superior knowledge of employee benefits, strong customer service and communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and strong abilities in the use of technology such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Legal Administrative Support Specialist

Larkin Hoffman is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours) Legal Administrative Support Specialist. This position will work in the office to provide short and long-term backup administrative support to Legal Administrative Assistants throughout the firm by providing administrative support for clerical and production tasks, as necessary. They will also provide backup for the reception desk, document production, and office services. Assist with special projects and cooperate as a team member with support staff in performing duties essential to the achievement of efficient operations.

Candidates should have 1+ years of administrative support experience and an administrative assistant degree or the equivalent combination of education and related experience. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and highly organized, have superior grammar and proofreading skills and be detail-oriented. Familiarity with legal terminology, Office2010, and NetDocuments or document management systems is preferred.

Summer Associates 

Larkin Hoffman is no longer accepting applications for the 2022 summer associate positions. 

Working as a summer associate is a unique opportunity to experience the day-to-day projects, challenges and excitement of a practicing attorney. Each summer, Larkin Hoffman hires a staff of law students who have completed their second year of law school. In the past, many have stayed on through the school year and some have continued as associates.

Our summer associates program is formatted to give students a glimpse into different areas of the law in which our firm specializes. Summer associates have the opportunity to accompany attorneys in both the courtroom and the boardroom. Summer associates also work together on a presentation to be given to all attorneys on a current legal issue.

Our summer associates are given the opportunity to work with a variety of attorneys in all of our different departments. Each summer associates is assigned a mentor and is encouraged to approach their mentors with questions, concerns, and ideas throughout the summer. Work is assigned through a manager who monitors workloads and ensures that each student is given a broad range of opportunities. We understand the importance of feedback, and our attorneys take the time to evaluate the work done by summer associates in order to help them develop their skills.
