Larkin Hoffman’s mining team advises clients on a range of legal and business issues facing companies in the mining industry.
We advise a variety of mining clients from smaller companies involved in mining and processing sand and gravel for industrial applications to a major multinational company engaged in iron mining and steel manufacturing.
Our team counsels clients on issues which arise from the beginning to the end of the lifecycle of a mining project. We advise on financing, land acquisition, permitting, exploration, feasibility studies, and site development as well as environmental and other regulatory approval and compliance issues.
With our deep experience in government relations, we represent our clients’ environmental and other regulatory interests in front of city councils, county boards, regulatory agencies and the state legislature. We understand how the process works, and we are here to lead clients to a successful outcome.
Our team’s litigators have successfully resolved a variety of matters on behalf of our mining clients. We have experience handling matters adverse to local government, regulatory agencies, and market competitors. We have challenged the government’s failure to act upon our clients’ regulatory, environmental, and land use applications and have argued in support of agency action benefitting our mining clients. Our litigators have substantial experience in both the district and appellate courts.
