Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP) is a "nonprofit association of more than 70 law firms and corporate legal departments who share a vision to create a vibrant and inclusive legal community and a mission to strengthen the efforts of Member Organizations to attract, recruit, advance, and retain attorneys of color."

Larkin Hoffman is pleased to be part of the 1L Summer Rotation Clerkship Program organized by Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP). TCDIP is a collective effort among law firms and corporate law departments aiming to promote diversity within the legal field.

Women attorneys at Larkin Hoffman have been leaders in both the business and legal arenas. Over 15 years ago, our professionals initiated a new type of event to create an opportunity for professional women in business and law to meet, establish connections and deepen existing relationships in a fun and enthusiastic environment. Our women's networking initiative has been so successful that it has become the model for many firms in our market.  Our well-attended events have taken place in a variety of settings handpicked by our professionals to make the most of the experience for all attendees. 

From the beginning, we have sought to use this platform to also bring attention to a worthy cause. For every event, we partner with a charitable organization and promote its cause. We are proud to have created a wonderful opportunity to build and strengthen our professional connections while contributing to the success of our community.

Minnesota Women Lawyers (MWL) is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization comprised of over 1,200 attorneys, judges, law students, legal employers, and supporters dedicated to advancing the success of women attorneys and fostering a more just society.

100 percent of our female attorneys are members of Minnesota Women Lawyers, actively engaged in mentoring students in our legal community and exchanging insights with members in affinity groups that address meaningful matters, including parenting for working professionals.

Larkin Hoffman is honored to support The Minnesota Equity Challenge and and celebrate attorneys and staff who have received the Minnesota Racial Equity Challenge Certification.  In 2023, attorneys Christopher Yetka and Gregory Otsuka and staff members Risa Patrias and Kayla Pietsch took part in the challenge.

The nonprofit Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (TCDIP) created the The Minnesota Equity Challenge to strengthen and enhance understandings of racial equity issues.  According to TCDIP, participants in the challenge gain a better understanding of:

• how systems of oppression negatively affect the lives of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in this state, especially in regard to housing, employment, education, health care, and public safety; and
• concrete actions we can take to be allies to each other in order to mitigate the negative effects of racism in this state.

The course of six-month course brought participants together to explore and discuss readings, podcasts, and other materials. After completing the course, participants were recognized with a Minnesota Racial Equity Challenge Certification.

The National LGBTQ+ Bar Association "is a national association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals, law students, activists, and affiliated lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender legal organizations. The LGBTQ+ Bar promotes justice in and through the legal profession for the LGBTQ+ community in all its diversity."

The Minnesota Lavender Bar Association (MLBA) serves as the primary organization for attorneys in Minnesota dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community. Established in 1996 as a special project of OutFront Minnesota's Legal Program, the MLBA was created to address the restricted opportunities for LGBTQ+ lawyers and law students to network, collaborate, and confront homophobia within the legal profession.

The Minnesota Asian Pacific American Bar Association (MNAPABA) is a community comprising Asian Pacific American and Asian lawyers in Minnesota. This community fosters mutual support, celebrates individual achievements, encourages dialogue on issues important to Asian Pacific Americans (APAs), and brings attention to APA issues within the broader legal community. Formerly known as NAPABA-MN, MNAPABA is an affiliate of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA).  While MNAPABA functions as the local Asian bar association, it welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
