Karen Van Buren is the Chief Operating Officer at Larkin Hoffman. She provides executive leadership and strategic guidance for the Firm’s administrative and financial functions, working closely with the President and Board of Directors to drive growth and operational excellence.
Karen oversees financial planning, manages relationships with outside service providers and leads the Firm’s operational teams including practice management, administration and talent, finance, marketing, information systems, office services and facilities.
Prior to joining Larkin Hoffman, Karen held leadership roles in finance at prominent law firms in the Twin Cities. With a background in strategic planning, financial oversight, organizational efficiency and client relations, she plays a key role in advancing business operations and enhancing client services.
Karen is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) and the association’s Minnesota chapter (ALAMN), staying engaged in industry best practices. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University, with an emphasis in organizational leadership and minors in Spanish and computer science.
