Matt Gersemehl, AAS, SAMA, brings more than 20 years of valuation and assessment experience to Larkin Hoffman’s Property Tax Appeals team. Working alongside the team’s litigation attorneys, he leads assessment reviews and builds the valuation analysis, market data, and negotiation strategy behind the firm’s property tax appeals for commercial, industrial, multifamily and development properties. Matt also advises clients on development incentives, tax increment financing, and other municipal finance matters; and guides the standards, review processes and business development relationships to help grow Larkin Hoffman’s practice in property tax and real estate advisory services.

- City Assessor, Bloomington, Minnesota. Served 12 years as City Assessor, overseeing the valuation of approximately 30,000 parcels worth more than $17 billion, including properties such as the Mall of America.
- Expert Witness Testimony. Serves as a certified expert witness in Minnesota Tax Court.
