John E. Diehl counsels and represents clients on a broad range of issues in corporate law, governance, state and federal regulatory compliance, business transactions, exempt organization tax laws and public policy development.  Mr. Diehl's clients are primarily in the health care and insurance industries.

Representative Experience

  • Designs, negotiates and documents business and professional relationships and transactions – including procurement and service contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and systems development.
  • Advises clients in the health care sector on third-party payer credentialing and payment issues (for Medicare, Medicaid and private health plans); biomedical ethics; patient care; regulatory compliance; and risk management systems and disputes.
  • Represents regulated individuals and corporate entities in addressing issues with their licensing boards and credentialing authorities.
  • Extensive involvement in the development of health care policy and insurance law, including insurer solvency, health insurance, property and casualty insurance regulation, and protection of individual rights.
