Larkin Hoffman was pleased to host students from Breck School for a day of interdisciplinary education focused on land use and community engagement. A longtime leader in land use law, Larkin Hoffman also enlisted speakers from architecture and engineering firm HGA and the City of Bloomington to help illustrate for students how land use, city planning and architecture and engineering are woven together.

“We take pride in our more than 60 years of history in land use law and are honored to help nurture interest in the field with this event,” said Larkin Hoffman Shareholder Megan Rogers.

During the day of programming, students heard from Nick Johnson, Planning Manager for the City of Bloomington; Roxanne Nelson, Arts, Community & Education Principal for HGA; Erik Hansen, Senior Civil Project Engineer for HGA; Spencer Tolliver, Civil Engineer for HGA; and Larkin Hoffman’s Megan Rogers, Jake Steen and Raya Esmaeili, currently a Law Clerk for Larkin Hoffman and formerly a planning analyst with the Met Council.

“Our land use practice is rooted in collaboration with our community. This was a great opportunity to bring together city staff alongside development professionals to plant the seeds for the next generation of community builders,” said Rogers.
