Matthew serves as general counsel to Minnesota Aurora, FC, a community-owned, women-led, pre-professional soccer team which was launched in 2021 as a founding member of the USL's W-League.  In his role as general counsel, Matthew has helped the club navigate its unique development as a community-owned club, including working with the nine co-founders as well as overseeing a $1 million Regulation CF community-ownership offering.  Matthew has helped the club develop a variety of sponsorship and supplier relationships, establish strong practices with respect to its brand and related intellectual property, and navigate various employment and other issues as it built a high-level sports organization in less than 15 months between its founding and its first match.
