Larkin Hoffman proudly recognizes Emmanuel Ayelomi for his contributions during a second summer with us as a project intern through the Bloom in Bloomington program. Along with several new assignments, Emmanuel continued the critical work he began last summer assisting attorneys Megan Rogers and Jake Steen volunteering with the Just Deeds coalition to eliminate racially restrictive covenants from properties in Hennepin and Ramsey counties.

Emmanuel, who is entering his final year of undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota with a major in political science, has demonstrated remarkable growth during his time with us. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Emmanuel hopes to pursue a law degree and shared that his second internship at Larkin Hoffman helped to solidify his future plans, "I really enjoyed my time at Larkin Hoffman," Emmanuel said. "I've had the opportunity to meet and work with so many people both inside and outside the firm which has given me a unique perspective of the legal field."

Emmanuel says that his return to Larkin Hoffman for a second summer was driven by the experiences and insights he gained during his first internship. He noted that the knowledge and skills he acquired were immediately applicable last fall when he returned to his studies, giving him an advantage in his classes.

Beyond the office, Emmanuel embraced opportunities to build connections through Larkin Hoffman’s summer golf event and various networking events. He attributes much of his successful summer to the mentorship and support he received from attorneys and staff who included him in projects, lunches, and social events.

Emmanuel’s hard work and enthusiasm over the past two summers are a testament to the strength of our internship program and the supportive, collaborative environment at Larkin Hoffman.

Bloom in Bloomington is a youth workforce development program that matches young people ages 16 – 24 with summer internship experiences in the City of Bloomington.
