Larkin Hoffman shareholder Craig Lervick recently presented at the Midwest IP Institute, a two-day intellectual property law intensive held in Minneapolis.

Lervick participated in a panel on managing IP risk before launching a product. During the presentation, Lervick and his co-presenter discussed tactics for assessing and minimizing risk IP in real-word product development settings, attempting to answer the question “how much clearance is enough?” The conversation included comments about timing, scope, risk tolerance, observed business perspectives, appropriate deliverables and related experiences. The session was informative for both in-house and outside counsel working in product development and IP.

“It’s an honor to be invited to speak at the Midwest IP Institute, and I was glad to participate again this year,” Lervick said. “I enjoyed meeting and reconnecting with IP attorneys from across the region and discussing the latest issues in IP law with those who practice it every day.”

Lervick is an intellectual property lawyer with more than three decades of experience, and currently serves as the chair of the Larkin Hoffman Intellectual Property and Technology practice group. He also works with new and startup businesses as a member of the Startups and Emerging Businesses practice group, which offers hands-on legal support for entrepreneurs and innovators as they launch and grow their companies.
