Larkin Hoffman business and franchise attorney James Susag recently presented a CLE for the American Bar Association (ABA) Forum on Franchising. Titled “Now is the Winter of Our Discontent: Dealing with Widespread Franchise System Unrest,” the CLE offered practical strategies for dealing with franchisee resistance.

The CLE was part of the ABA’s Best of the Forum series, highlighting the most popular and impactful presentations from the most recent Forum on Franchising, the annual meeting of franchise law practitioners. As part of the series, Susag and co-presenter Mark Dady discussed approaches for dealing with unhappy franchise groups, including strategies for dispute resolution and cooperative approaches for negotiated resolutions

Susag regularly leads CLEs for the ABA and the National Business Institute (NBI), among others, on a variety of topics within business law and litigation. He also serves on the board of directors for NBI, and plays an active role in mentoring associate attorneys at Larkin Hoffman.
