Nine Larkin Hoffman attorneys have been named North Star Lawyers by the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) in recognition of their outstanding commitment to pro bono legal service.
The MSBA’s North Star Lawyers program recognizes members who provided at least 50 hours of pro bono legal services during the 2025 calendar year to low-income individuals and families, as well as nonprofit organizations serving those in need.
The following Larkin Hoffman attorneys were named 2025 North Star Lawyers:
• Daniel Ballintine

• Rob Hill
• Daniel Kadlec
• Phyllis Karasov
• Robert Long

“We are honored to see these attorneys recognized for their dedication to expanding access to justice,” said Larkin Hoffman President Joe Fittante. “Providing pro bono legal work is an important part of our firm’s ongoing commitment to serving our community.”
“We are proud of the time, talent, and compassion these attorneys have contributed to helping individuals who otherwise may not have access to legal representation,” said Pro Bono Committee Chair Christopher Yetka. “Our firm is dedicated to continuing to expand this vital work.”
As part of the Firm’s commitment to removing barriers to legal services, Larkin Hoffman is also proud to partner with and support organizations like Volunteer Lawyers Network, Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid and the Hennepin County Bar Foundation. All three organizations make legal support more accessible to those in need.
