Larkin Hoffman was the only U.S.-based law firm invited to attend SCG Legal’s Canada Regional Meeting in June. SCG Legal is a network of 125 independent law firms in 65 countries, including all U.S. states and Washington, D.C.

The 2026 Canada Regional Meeting was held in Winnipeg, where attorneys and law firm leaders discussed business development, law firm growth, client service and collaboration amid shifting client expectations and a rapidly evolving legal landscape. Winnipeg Mayor Scott Gillingham also delivered a keynote address.

Larkin Hoffman Shareholder Paul Plunkett attended the meeting on behalf of the Firm. Plunkett also previously served as Chairman and on SCG Legal’s Board of Directors, helping advance the organization’s international network of independent law firms.
