Shareholder Matthew Bergeron was a presenter at the recent meeting of the Midwest IP Institute in Minneapolis. Drawing on his experience as a founder and general counsel for Minnesota Aurora FC, Bergeron co-presented on the topic of “The Trademark Playbook for New Sports Brands.”

Minnesota Aurora FC is a community-owned, women-led, pre-professional soccer team that was launched in 2021. In his role as general counsel, Matthew has helped the club navigate its unique development as a community-owned club, establish strong practices with respect to its brand and related intellectual property, and navigate many other legal issues.
