Helping others is one of the main reasons Larkin Hoffman Shareholder Matthew Bergeron started practicing law. As a health care and government relations attorney, Bergeron frequently works with organizations serving historically disenfranchised communities who need help navigating a complex legal or regulatory system. Service to others is oftentimes a driving force Bergeron shares with his clients.
His story and volunteer efforts were recently profiled as part of his alma mater Macalester College’s Volunteer Spotlight series. The piece details Bergeron’s work as an attorney, a co-founder of the Minnesota Aurora women’s soccer team, and his volunteer efforts at Macalester – both formally and informally such as mentorship.
“I’ve always enjoyed mentorship relationships,” said Bergeron. “A lot of people invested time for me early in my career, so it always felt like a good way to pay that back.
