Larkin Hoffman is pleased to announce that attorney Silas J. Petersen has been named one of Minnesota Lawyer’s 2026 ‘Up & Coming Attorneys.’

The annual recognition honors attorneys within their first 10 years of practice who have distinguished themselves through exceptional legal work, leadership, professional accomplishments, and commitment to their clients, firms and communities.

Petersen practices in commercial and franchise litigation, representing franchisors and other businesses in disputes involving contracts, business torts and franchise statutes. Early in his career, he has already gained substantial hands-on experience in multimillion-dollar lawsuits involving national brands.

Beyond his client work, Petersen is building a reputation in franchise law. He serves on the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Committee, and his writing has been published in the Franchise Law Journal. He was also named a 2026 Franchise Legal Eagle by Franchise Times.

Minnesota Lawyer recognized the 2026 Up & Coming Attorneys at an awards event on Friday, September 11, at Quincy Hall in Minneapolis.
