Larkin Hoffman is adding three new attorneys to its talent roster: Sarah L. Baalson, Raya Esmaeili and Madison R. Volk. All three completed their law degrees at Michell Hamline School of Law while employed as clerks at the firm.
Sarah Baalson practices for the firm’s Franchise & Distribution and Corporate & Finance service areas, counseling clients ranging from startups to large corporations and nationally recognized franchisors. Baalson joined Larkin Hoffman as a paralegal in 2021 before becoming a clerk in 2024. She also has previous paralegal experience at firms in Minnesota and South Dakota, as well as with the Minnesota National Guard.
Raya Esmaeili joined the firm as a clerk in 2024, having previously served in progressing planning roles at the Metropolitan Council. As part of the firm’s Land Use and Real Estate team, Esmaeili brings her deep experience in urban planning and regional policy to help clients navigate development challenges.
Madison Volk’s practice in the Business Litigation department follows progressing roles with the firm. Volk joined as a Legal Administrative Support Specialist in 2021, became a Legal Administrative Assistant the following year, and then a Law Clerk in 2024. Volk also brings experience as a Dakota County Court Clerk in the major felony division, adding to her comfort in a courtroom.
“We are thrilled to have these three newly minted attorneys on our team,” said Larkin Hoffman President Joe Fittante. “We know the importance of nurturing our talent pipeline and being a workplace that helps employees grow. Sarah, Raya and Maddie’s journeys are an outstanding demonstration of that, and we are excited to be the home where they launch their practices.”
