Recognition
Larkin Hoffman Shareholder Tamara O’Neill Moreland has been selected as one of Minnesota Lawyer’s Top Women in Law.
O’Neill Moreland was chosen for this honor not only because of her professional accomplishments on behalf of her clients at Larkin Hoffman but because of her years of leadership both inside the Firm and Minnesota’s broader legal community.
O’Neill Moreland is a past chair of Larkin Hoffman’s Diversity Committee and Professional Development Committee. She also served on the Firm’s Board of Directors from 2012 until 2023. Many of the Firm’s current policies such as its paid parental leave program, attorney mentorship and sponsorship programs, trainings, and consensus associate reviews came directly out of her leadership on these important committees. O’Neill Moreland has also served as the Firm’s Ethics Counsel since 2015.
“In its 60-year history, our Firm has had few attorneys who have made a bigger impact than Tamara,” said Larkin Hoffman President Joe Fittante. “She has been a trailblazer at Larkin Hoffman, and her efforts to make our Firm a great place to work for everyone will continue to have a profound impact for years to come.”
O’Neill Moreland is not only committed to making Larkin Hoffman a better place, she has worked diligently to push the legal community forward as well. She was a member of the Minnesota Judicial Counsel from 2011 to 2016. She was the Gender Fairness Subcommittee Co-Chair and the Community Dialogue Subcommittee Co-Chair. Among other accomplishments, her work on these subcommittees produced a bench card, a laminated card that is given to all judges in Minnesota, to help them identify and eliminate implicit bias as part of their decision-making process. Additionally, O’Neill Moreland was on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Chapter of the March of Dimes and Legal Counsel from 2010-2014.
Please join Larkin Hoffman in congratulating Tamara O’Neill Moreland on this recognition.
