Recognition
Larkin Hoffman is pleased to announce that attorney Nic Puechner has been appointed by Governor Tim Walz to Minnesota’s Cannabis Advisory Council (the “Council”). Nic will hold the seat representing the interests of employers. This appointment is significant as Minnesota recently became the 23rd state to legalize recreational cannabis use for individuals aged 21 and older. The Council, which will function as an advisory body to the Office of Cannabis Management, will play a crucial role in reviewing developments related to statewide cannabis policies and providing recommendations.
The Council's responsibilities include reviewing national and state cannabis policy, developments in the cannabis industry and hemp consumer industry, and developments in the study of cannabis flower and other items. As the Council works closely with the Office of Cannabis Management, it will also take public testimony and make recommendations based on its findings.
Nic S. Puechner is a general practitioner who represents business owners, organizations, and private clients in litigation and business matters by providing focused solutions tailored to their individual needs. He focuses his practice on employment law and commercial litigation. With a keen interest in the industry and its evolving landscape, Nic is well-prepared to navigate the complexities of adult cannabis legalization and its effects on employers.
