Recognition
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Larkin Hoffman dedicated the month of May to a series of activities, resources and shared experiences designed to support employee wellbeing and strengthen community connection. The Firm’s monthlong focus highlighted the importance of emotional, physical and financial wellness while encouraging reflection, gratitude and meaningful engagement.
Throughout the month, Larkin Hoffman hosted a range of initiatives intended to promote healthy habits, reduce stress and create opportunities for employees to connect with one another. Activities include two benefits fairs, fresh fruit and vegetables available in the on-site cafe, a Firm walking event, a coffee run and affirmations shared throughout the month. The Firm also hosted an onsite mental health continuing legal education program for the entire Firm titled Managing Stress Mindfully.
Human Resources also launched gratitude-centered activities to foster appreciation and belonging across the Firm. Through two gratitude walls, employees were invited to share something they are grateful for and contribute to a collective message of positivity. In addition, a “Share a Little Gratitude” activity encouraged team members to write notes of appreciation to colleagues who have made a positive impact on their day.
Larkin Hoffman is also partnering with the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MAC-V), a nonprofit that supports veterans and their families with housing, employment and legal services. The firm collected supplies for “Move-In Kits” to help veterans transition into stable housing.
At Larkin Hoffman, Mental Health Awareness Month offered an opportunity to spotlight mental health; however, employee wellbeing remains an ongoing and deeply rooted focal point for the Firm throughout the year.
