We are thrilled to announce that Phyllis Karasov has been honored with the MSBA Labor & Employment Law Section Leonard Lindquist Distinguished Practice Award! The selection is a testament to her exceptional dedication, knowledge, and contributions to the field of labor and employment law.
The MSBA Labor & Employment Law Section established this award to recognize members who have made outstanding contributions to labor or employment law practice in Minnesota. Recipients are selected based on criteria including a minimum of fifteen years of practice, membership in the MSBA Labor & Employment Law Section, and significant contributions and service to various legal and community organizations, among other criteria.
Phyllis Karasov has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to the field of labor and employment law. Her clients come from a variety of sectors, including construction, manufacturing, higher education, K-12 private education, nonprofit and healthcare. She provides counsel in all areas of human resources, including hiring, handbooks, regulatory compliance, discrimination, sexual harassment, discipline and termination, Americans with Disabilities Act, OSHA rules and the Family and Medical Leave Act. As a former National Labor Relations Board attorney, Phyllis is often called upon to represent clients in labor union matters including arbitrations, collective bargaining agreements and union contracts. In higher education, Phyllis is an experienced and trained investigator of Title IX complaints.
